

The tamarind fruit is a tart, tangy fruit, found mostly in the subcontinent. It is widely used as a savory spice in recipes, and is extremely popular. As a name, it reflects Tamarind Media’s association with Pakistan and India and works exceptionally well as a concept for films. We decided to use the feeling inspired by the taste of tamarinds for the logo, rather than the fruit itself, which is visually unappealing.
